We all know that Google is working with HTC on a new Nexus tablet, probably to be dubbed as the Nexus 9, which will be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra K1 chipset.
While pictures of the tablet have not yet leaked yet, enough evidence has surfaced about the tablet over the last month or so to confirm its existence and its imminent arrival.
Today, confirming these rumors is The Wall Street Journal, whose sources suggest that Google went with HTC this time to prevent a the monopoly of any single OEM.
HTC had released the ill-fated Flyer back in 2011 but its dismal failure led the company to completely exit the market. With the Nexus 9, HTC is collaborating with Google after 4 years since the launch of the original Nexus One on a new Nexus device.
