While initially announced in the middle of June, Samsung is still working on releasing their brand new Galaxy Tab S lineup all around the globe. Now, officially announced at an event in New Delhi on July 1, Samsung has unveiled a new area of the globe to get the brand new tablet family.

Samsung unveiled on July 1, in New Delhi, that their Galaxy Tab S lineup would officially come to India beginning July 12. The tablets will launch with initial 3G-connectivity to start, but there are plans to launch LTE capable devices at some point in the future. The specifications of each tablet are the same from their previously announced versions for other markets, including the 8.4- or 10.1-inch variants, both of which include QHD displays and other high-end specs under the hood.

As far as pricing goes, Samsung has the 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S going for Rs. 37,800, which is around $630. If you want to get your hands on the 10.1-inch model, though, you’ll have to pony up Rs. 44,800, or roughly $745. As an added bonus, Samsung is including access to the video rental service, Big Flix, through the wireless carrier, Reliance. You’ll also get 9GB of 3G data for free, for three months. With an expected launch date of July 12, those in India won’t have long to wait to get their hands on Samsung’s newest high-end tablets.
